Simulation / Optimization Setup
“Stock Material”:
Choose a material to load your personalized machining templates, which are customized for each operation and material. This will update a wizard’s cutting strategies automatically. Spend less time editing and more time programming.
“Show Holder” and “Fixtures”:
View tooling and accessories during the simulation. Holders include BT40, Kwick, Jacobs, and more. And, fixtures include vises, clamps, chucks, tombstones, machine tables, and any obstacle.
“Detection: Features & Surfaces”:
This option allows you to discover the size and other details of a feature as you click on the simulation results. Each click will point out the operation that machined that area of the model. Double-click any surface to open the operation’s editor.
“Create Uncut Solids”:
(Part Compare) Use this option to examine the results of your programming. You will discover if there is a match to the model’s size (green), stock to be machined (red), or if there is a gouge or undercut (yellow). If you double-click a gouge, for example, the editor pops open, allowing you to modify the operation that violated the part—it’s that simple!
“Create Part Solid”:
This will produce a solid model based on the simulation results. The model generated can be used for additive manufacturing or as the stock shape during Preview 3D.
“Clash Detection”:
The simulation will pause and highlight the operation where the tool collides with the stock or fixtures. This makes it easy to correct mistakes and ensures your machine programs are safe to run.
“Simulation”:
Start the simulation from any operation using “From Current Workstep” or by right-clicking a Workstep in the “List box.” By bypassing the previous operations, you waste no time reviewing what has already been proven.
“Verify All”:
You are given the total machine time on all active operations based on their feed rates. Easily quote jobs and plan for machine downtime.
